ZETOART-DS is double the strength of conventional Alpha ketoanalogue tablets to reduce the high pill burden in CKD patients and increase patient compliance to therapy. Adding Alfa Ketoanalogues to very low protein diets for patients with chronic kidney disease could significantly retard the progression of the CKD and delays initiation of dialysis.
Zetoart-DS contains essential amino acids, in the form of keto analogues essential for uremic patients. It is prescribed as treatment of chronic kidney disease patients on conservative management therapy (CKD stage I, II, III). It contains eight essential amino acids and two non-essential amino acids, Histidine & Tyrosine
Ketoanalogues maintain the nitrogen levels and tend to serve as one of the nutrients for CKD patients. It acts by neutralizing the nitrogenous wastes in CKD patients and & helps in delaying the progression of kidney disease.
Zetoart –DS reduces the production of urea nitrogen and relieves the building up of nitrogenous wastes and other toxic substances in the body. In combination with a very low protein diet/ low protein diet, this medication helps in delaying progression of kidney disease in the pre-dialysis period.
