Description
IROSOME FCM is an Iron formulation. IROSOME FCM is Ferric Carboxymaltose injection that is used to treat iron deficiency anemia in patients who cannot take iron supplement or who are taking iron supplement that is not enough, with non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with heart failure to improve the ability to exercise. The active substance is ferric carboxymaltose, an iron carbohydrate compound.
- IROSOME FCM is available as a Vial for injection.
- Each vial of IROSME FCM contains Ferric Carboxymaltose 500mg/10 ml.
- The concentration of iron present in the IROSOME is 50 mg per milliliter
IROSOME FCM (Ferric Carboxymaltose) is indicated in the treatment of Iron Deficiency anemia.
IROSOME FCM is used to treat iron deficiency in adults when
1. Oral iron is not effective enough
2. Intolerance to oral iron
3. Iron deficiency anemia in non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD).
4. In patients with heart failure to improve the ability to exercise
- IROSOME FCM is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of a doctor.
- IROSOME FCM is used to quickly build Iron stores in Anemic conditions.
- Store IROSOME FCM in the original package to protect from light. Do not store above 30°C. Do not freeze.
